If you want to learn how to kitesurf in Thailand, Koh Phangan is one of the best and easiest places to do it. The reason for this is its flat, reef-protected waters, endless space and stable winds. This combination makes it ideal for beginners. The main advantage that we have at Kiteflip is the option to choose between our 3 locations. In this way, we can choose the best spot at the right time of the year. It doesn’t matter where the wind comes from, we can always kite.
Our main school is located 10 meters from the water and has all the facilities like a bar, storage, wifi, lockers, showers, hammocks and lounge area. Everything you need to enjoy your kitesurf experience on Koh Phangan.

Koh Phangan has 3 different kite seasons with each season a different wind direction. Because our school is the only one with 3 locations, we are able to teach in the best conditions. The average winds are between 10 and 20 knots. If you are not sure about the conditions on the date you plan to start a course, it’s best to just send us an email so we can give you the right advice.
When you decide you want to learn kitesurfing in Thailand and start a course with us, it’s best to book a lesson beforehand. This can be done up and till 1 day before the lesson. Just send us an email or contact us on WhatsApp to check the availability. You do not need to pay a deposit to book a lesson. Usually we always have instructors available so you can also just pass by our school and see when an instructor is available. We are flexible in our schedule, but of course we do have to take the weather into account.
You can pay directly at the school just before your lesson starts. We accept cash, Google pay, Apple pay, bankcards, Wise, bank transfer and crypto.
During the course all the equipment, the lesson with a certified instructor and your IKO or IWO certification is included.
You only pay for the time you actually spend learning. In case the wind would suddenly stop, we refund you the remaining hours or reschedule the lesson.
What do you need to prepare for a lesson? The only thing you need to bring is swimwear, sunglasses and sunscreen. We provide all the other gear you need to kitesurf on Koh Phangan. This includes a lycra shirt against the sun, a kitesurf harness, shoes, vest and a floaty strap for your sunglasses.
For those who come to kitesurf on Koh Phangan and wish to stay right on the kitespot we have on-site accommodation available. The beachfront bungalows are equipped with a private bathroom, hot shower, air con, Wi-Fi and all the necessary amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For bookings please contact us.
